REVIEW – STM Trust Messenger Bag
STMBags sent me over the STM Trust Messenger bag for review. Thoughts below but in short, AMAZINGSo just before Xmas in the middle of shopping, packing, wrapping, eating, baking etc the postman arrived with a large box containing the STMBags Trust messenger bag for me to review.
There are 2 versions of the Trust that being the 13″ and 15″ and this was the 13″ that was sent over. The finish was a vibrant red but these come in a range of colours including blue, camo green and grey.
The bag is a very generous size (dimensions are 11.22 x 14.96 x 4.72 inches) When first opened it looks a little small but when you start digging its like the TARDIS, bigger on the inside. I am using the 12″ HP Spectre X2 as a bench mark for size as the site is run on this device and its my goto portable tablet/laptop. There is plenty of room in the main outer pocket, I would think it will easily hold a 13 inch Dell or HP unit with little fuss.
Open the double catches on the front and you see a couple of pockets on the inside
with heavy duty zips to keep everything snug in place, Using it day to day I have a number of charging cables, phone, earphones, couple of pens, Moleskine note book, iPad Air & Asus Zenpad and it still is no where near full.
The Trust’s flap fits over in a way that it wraps the top openings of the bag, instead of stretching itself to cover. It appears as if it is fitted to cover those parts, even if the bag becomes stuffed. Catches on the front are finished in a black plastic and light metal that really look well in contrast to the red material.
The strap used is very comfortable with a large padded shoulder base that grips well, The strap also has a large amount of adjust for the length so any user should feel very much at home with it slung over the head. Adjustment to the length is via two snap release clasps that are made of heavy duty plastic.
Although there is a lot of storms in Ireland at the moment I have not been out in the rain but looking at the construction I would have no worries about using it in the rain and keeping the contents dry as a bone.
If I was being ultra picky I would say a bigger reflective strip of more reflective strips would not go amiss in lat night early morning transits, However this is a very minor quibble. The Trust is dam near perfect and the STM should be high on anyone list who is looking for a stylish, practical, affordable messenger bag.
A very high 5 star review from myself on this product.
Many Thanks to Jessica over at BleatPR for sending over the bag for review.
